Pin the shape you built against
The API has one version today, 2026-10-08. Send it, and your integration keeps the shape it was built against when the next one arrives.

- Every answer carries
Hatcel-Version, saying which version answered. - Leave it out and you get the current version.
- Any other value is a 400
unsupported_version, never a guess.
What changes without a new version
New objects, new endpoints, new optional parameters and new fields on an object arrive in the current version. Read the fields you need and ignore the rest. Removing or renaming a field, or changing what one means, is a new version.
